“My submission, ‘Industrial Memories of Nampula,’ is an interactive experience combining documentary photography, non-linear narrative, and game design elements. The user explores an abandoned factory through a web interface where each image contains clickable hotspots revealing audio stories, video testimonies, and puzzles based on Makhuwa culture. The navigation allows multiple discovery paths, integrating escape room mechanics with digital storytelling. Through ‘found’ photographic archives and interactive documents, the work questions Mozambique’s industrial legacy while inviting the audience to reconstruct collective narratives.”
