Set during America’s Revolutionary War, “Valley Forge” is the story of the camp comic at Valley Forge as he attempts to boost the morale of the beleaguered Continental Army. Via text, image, animations, video, and a variety of interactive elements, we follow his comedic antics against the background of harsh winter weather, rampant disease, and food and clothing shortages.

The visual template uses details borrowed from contemporary social media. Photographs, texts and emails from George Washington, and other anachronistic elements add a new perspective on this historical moment.
