We wanted to highlight the important topic of child poverty in Kazakhstan in a new format for the media. It is similar to Instagram stories (which Internet users are used to), which makes it easy for the eye to perceive (the material is convenient to read both from the website and a mobile phone). The material contains the main text, and visual graphs confirming the research with data, and we also added interactivity: surveys, audio tracks, video stories, GIFs, and illustrations.
All this holds the reader’s attention and immerses him in one of the country’s most important problems but in an interesting format. Initially, we aimed to make the material interactive to introduce a new trend in the media of Central Asia.
This material was written in Russian and translated into English.
