Stonecallers is a browser-based, explorative digital novella enhanced with compelling multimedia elements. The complete story is comprised of six chapters, with only the first chapter offered for the competition.

The story unfolds with accompanying interactive graphic, audio and video elements that offer clues, puzzles and foreshadowing. The experience rewards contemplation and exploration. All visual components reveal more when clicked / tapped. Although primarily a literary experience, Stonecallers is designed to engage young readers through the tasteful incorporation of additional media, allowing the user to discover secrets and hidden connections.

The project was conceived and developed for older children (9 to 13) and purposely not for consumption via smartphone. It is a story to be absorbed slowly without distractions, via laptop or iPad.
