“Espejo de Carne” is a deterministic novel designed for digital literature that uses the digital resources of interactivity, text animation,
randomness, video, images and OST to accompany and enrich the text.
The message that transcends that the individual sees the world in a reduced/pixelated way (in reference to Plato’s myth), is transferred to the work through
interactive dialogues and situations of choice where the reader will feel a false sense of decision, because the different paths and options that
open up in the novel, are reduced to the point of leading all to the same end. This message is reinforced through videos and pixelated images that
accompany the text and a soundtrack created for the novel.
We use the resource of randomness in the chapters of the love relationship, in the format of a game, where the reader can choose to engage the couple with,
that offers different texts and situations randomly.
To reinforce the message of certain phrases or words, moving text has been used (some words or phrases are replaced by others).
